MYR Palacio Vallier

Best For: People looking for premier quality in the city center

In the heart of Valencia’s Ciutat Vella, you’ll find this palace-turned-hotel. Hotel Palacio Vallier is, in my opinion, the best 5-star hotel in Valencia.

With a chic design and all the contemporary comforts you could ever need, it’s an intimate experience in the very center of the city.

You’ll be situated right in front of the Palau de la Generalitat (i.e. Valencia’s White House). You’ll also have unprecedented views of the Cathedral and one of the most important squares in the city. Which means you won’t have to go far to enjoy sightseeing in Valencia

This luxury hotel also boasts premier gourmet experiences, including a restaurant that was inspired by the 3rd-Century Roman Ruins that are hidden below. In the evening, enjoy a drink on their rooftop bar and experience an exclusive view of Valencia.

In other words — this is my top recommendation for a luxury experience in Valencia

The Westin

Best For: People who love a classic hotel experience

With an art deco flair and an enormous garden fit for weddings, The Westin is another one of the best 5-star hotels in Valencia.

The rooms are exceptionally spacious, and they also offer a full-service spa for those looking to relax and unwind. I find that The Westin is a bit “old school” – but in a good sense. It has a classical taste and offers everything you’d expect from a 5-star experience.

The hotel is located right outside of the city center, which offers an extra dash of tranquility. If you prioritize some peace and quiet, then this is the spot for you. It’s one of the top spots if you’re coming to Valencia during Les Falles, as you’re more likely to escape some of the madness.

What makes The Westin special is the enormous garden area. If you want to enjoy some fresh air and take in the Mediterranean sun without heading too far, then this is the right choice for you.

Caro Hotel

Best For: History Lovers

Personally, I’m obsessed with Caro Hotel. It’s been a palace for a Marquis, and has its foundation overtop Arab Towers from over 1,000 years ago. Not to mention the fact that it’s built over Roman ruins that you can experience yourself via their Michelin-Star restaurant

So if you’re a history lover – then Caro Hotel is the best 5-star hotel in Valencia for you.

It’s one of the best hotels in La Ciutat Vella and has all the classic architectural components of the Valencian Golden Age. The rooms have a mix of contemporary designs, while still preserving the Baroque paintings that make the ceilings so memorable.

When you’re in Valencia, luxury hotels are everywhere — but few are as unique as this one!

Hospes Palau de la Mar

Best For: People looking for a hidden oasis near the shopping district

I’ve passed by Palau de la Mar a million times and never truly took a moment to appreciate it. This 5-star hotel is located on a street lined with palaces, just outside the city center.

It’s in an impressive location since it’s relatively quiet, but still just one street away from the shopping district. So I was pleasantly surprised when I got to finally take a moment to peek in.

Palau de la Mar blends a modern style with the classic 19th-century architectural style that Valencian aristocrats loved. Walk through the palace for yourself and enjoy a piece of history.

And then when you’re done walking, relax at the hotel’s Spa Bodyna. It’s the perfect way to unwind after spending a day exploring the city.

Las Arenas Balneario Resort

Best For: People who want a beach holiday.

When people think about 5-star hotels in Valencia — this is what comes to mind.

Las Arenas Balneario Resort is a household name in the city. The beachfront location, powerful architecture, and enormous spa and wellness center make this luxury retreat a frequent bucket-list item.

Because while the rooms, restaurant, and service are all fantastic — what makes it truly stand out is the unmatched spa circuit. From multiple saunas to an indoor/outdoor pool that overlooks the Mediterranean, this is the best choice for anyone who wants a top-tier beach holiday.

Personally, I’m more of a fan of city holidays — so I prefer staying closer to the center. But if you don’t mind taking a 15-minute taxi or 25-minute metro ride to get back to the Old Town, then Las Arenas is the perfect choice.

It all comes down to your priorities. If all you care about is absolute relaxation under the Mediterranean sun, then stay here.

Vincci Palace

Best For: People who want a chic, boutique ambiance

Vincci Palace is one of the best luxury hotels in Valencia thanks to its unique, boutique approach.

This is one of two 4-star hotels on this list, but I think it’s still worth being here.

It has an air of exclusivity, situated in an iconic building on Carrer de la Pau. You’ll get access to their rooftop terrace, private parking, and avant-garde restaurants.

So if you want a premium, luxury experience — but you also want to keep your budget down – then Vincci Palace is the perfect choice for you.

Only YOU

Best For: Rooftop views

Only YOU is the newest addition to Valencia’s luxury hotels. 5-star experiences like this one are hard to come by.

It’s located right next to the City Hall Square, tucked away in a quieter corner with access to other quaint squares. With a bold, cosmopolitan design and a high-energy bar – it’s the perfect spot to get a modern Valencia experience.

For me, the best part about Only YOU is the rooftop bar that offers a 360 view of the city center. You’ll see the City Hall, the Palau del Marqués de Doaigües, and plenty of other important landmarks.

So you can enjoy a top-level cocktail while appreciating an exclusive view of the city.

SH Valencia Palace Hotel

Best For: Business travelers

Want to stay in a quieter area with easy access to some of the most iconic areas of Valencia? Then stay at SH Valencia Palace.

This resort is facing the Palau de la Música and offers a rejuvenating experience with spas, wellness centers, and full suites to relax during your stay. The location is great, as you’ll be near the City of Arts and Sciences and Turia Gardens, while being a bit further away from the more touristy city center.

To be honest — the rooms themselves leave a little to be desired. They are clean and well-kept, but they also aren’t anything special. But what is special is the location, rooftop pool, and full-service spa.

I would recommend this Valencia 5-star hotel for business travelers. Since they offer office spaces and a quieter location that’s easy to access by car, I find it perfect for business travel.

Palacio Santa Clara

Best For: Luxury shoppers and people looking for exceptional service

This is the only other hotel on the list that doesn’t have 5 stars — but it absolutely should.

Decorated in a spectacular Valencian Modernist style and located on the main shopping street, this famous building is the perfect option for people who want a vibrant experience.

Enjoy your complimentary arrival beverage and admire all the artwork filled throughout this palace. The hotel does an exceptional job at blending traditional architectural styles with modern amenities. I think it’s one of the most uniquely-designed hotels in the city, perfect for anyone that appreciates the finer things in life.

Palacio Santa Clara also offers a variety of experiences to elevate your vacation. Enjoy the rooftop pool, personal training sessions, and even jazz concerts

So even though it’s not on the list of 5-star Valencia hotels, it definitely meets all the criteria of being a luxury experience.
